Beyond the wonderful social aspects of Twitter (which is the whole point, right?), I love that on Twitter, you can follow chefs, nutritionists, health nuts, authors, foodies, and regular people who occasionally discuss health issues or recipes.

Did you know that Adagio Teas, Ocean of Tea, and Mighty Leaf tea are all on Twitter? Did you know that they occasionally tweet to each other? And they usually answer when I tweet them (Your milage may vary- but I follow all three and like to jump into their convos).

And then there are the recipe tweets. Sometimes friends tweet about what they’re making for dinner, and when asked will provide the recipe. Sometimes, there are entire Twitter accounts, such as Recipe A Day, who only tweet recipe links. And then there are food bloggers who announce when new recipes are on their blogs. I recommend following @BlogWellDone as he has a lot of great vegan recipes.

That’s not even getting into the other vegan bloggers and exercise gurus that I’ve met through Twitter. So, I do it for social interaction, but apparently you CAN Twitter for your health.

When I was an aspiring freelance writer, I networked with a lot of aspiring and professional freelance writers. Funny thing is, despite the fact that I have a bajillion (that’s the technical term) interests outside of writing, it never occured to me that my professional friends would as well.

And then a few days ago, I was checking the profile of one of my friends and saw that she had a vegetarian recipe blog! And even though most people are very confused by my obsession interest in vegetarian and vegan foods when they find out that I’m a meat eater, I think it’s a perfectly normal interest for someone who is also fascinated with the importance of nutrition, and how to get the most nutrition out of food and drink rather than out of a bottle.

So I recommend checking out her blog. She’s got a yummy looking Cheese Risotto recipe freshly posted, and some info on health news that I generally don’t see.

A local natural foods store passes out health magazines along with purchases. The magazines vary, as do the quality, but several of their recent choices have been quite good!

Delicious Living is one of them. The writing is quality, the information is good and not overly common. They offer intriguing recipes that may seem a little… complicated? overdone? based on the photo and description until you actually read through it. Even the advertising can be interesting and informative.

Now, if you don’t have access to free copies of Delicious Living, I wouldn’t recommend trying to subscribe; for one thing, I’ve looked for subscriptions and haven’t found any, and for another- the website contains all of their articles and recipes and more. They’ve even got a blog, but then, who doesn’t?

Anyway, if you’re interested in nutrition information and recipes, check out Delicious Living Magazine at DeliciousLivingMag.com.
